Frames of premium grade MDF applied to flat walls to recreate traditional solid panelling.
Taking its inspiration from the grand drawing rooms of Regency Villas, this design has a large ‘panel’ size making it suitable for larger rooms. It gives a wonderful feeling of space and helps to improve proportions in rooms with tall ceilings. For all dimensions and further information please see further down this page. The large open squares can be further enhanced by simply inserting softwood beading (see Beading). PLEASE NOTE the main image shows the panel with this beading fitted. The standard panel is plain square edged and gives a simpler look.
Don’t forget to add Framing Strips to your order to complete your project.

If this product is showing as back order rather than in stock then the following message applies. Due to exceptionally high levels of orders we are having to increase the lead time from our usual 3-5 days. We estimate this product will be available again from April 12th but owing to a national shortage of MDF at the moment we cannot say this with any certainty until nearer the time. You can still place back orders of this product to ensure you are first in the queue when the stock is available again!

Regency Panelling Dimensions: Width 600mm x Height 800mm x Thickness 9mm
As with all our open backed panel designs the square edged recesses can be made more ornate simply by adding our 9 x 20mm ogee beading. We sell this in 2.4m lengths but for Regency we are able to provide it pre-mitred to make the job even quicker – see: Pre-mitred beading sets.
Regency panelling is ‘Open Backed’ panelling, which literally has perforations in the shape of squares to create the panelled look, with your own wall appearing in the spaces – see images below to get the idea. Once paint is applied to the whole area it is transformed into perfect, seamless panelling.
Please note images below are not Regency style – but are used to illustrate how open-backed panelling works!
You may also like to add some Framing Strips for your project to complete the panelled area at the end of a wall run. We recommend FS3 framing strips with our Regency panels – please see our Framing Strips page to see if these will be required for your particular project and to add them to your order.
For further information about measuring up and how to set out your panelling please read our guide within The English Panelling Company Brochure available for download here.
